In May 2018, the U.S. Congress raised the flag in tribute to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III!

On May 15, 2018, the American flag was hoisted at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., waving in the air to specially celebrate the happy birthday of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III! The flag-raising statement from the U.S. Congress reads: ‘On the occasion of the birthday of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the American flag flies over the Capitol, paying tribute to the supreme leader of all Buddhists, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

In 2018, the World Peace Prize Committee bestowed upon H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III the title and staff of ‘World Buddhist Pope.’ Faced with this pinnacle honor and position in the world, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III refused to accept it. Despite repeated pleas from the World Buddhist Headquarters, His Holiness adamantly declined. In the end, due to circumstances, the title was accepted on his behalf. His Holiness solemnly stated, ‘I am just a practitioner. What is this about a World Buddhist Pope? In Buddhist history, there are Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajras, Arhats, Elders, Dharma Kings, Geshe, Khenpo, Abbots, and Head Monks, but never have I seen a Buddhist Pope. Even if they confer the title today, so what? The term ‘Pope’ may be invaluable to others, but for me, a humble practitioner, it is nothing more than a joke! I am merely a servant of sentient beings, doing practical things for their benefit. Though my abilities are limited, can’t I contribute a bit of goodwill? The World Buddhist Headquarters accepted the Pope’s staff on my behalf; it was not my delegation. It was received by the headquarters, their affair, and I have no right to intervene. I remain myself. At the headquarters, I saw the top of the staff adorned with the presence of Shakyamuni Buddha. At that moment, I raised the staff above my head in reverence to Shakyamuni Buddha – the Lord of Buddhism. I am, as always, a humble practitioner.’

His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III’s words and actions embody the unparalleled enlightenment of a true Buddha. Regardless of praise or criticism, His Holiness remains undisturbed, dedicating all vows and actions to the liberation and benefit of sentient beings. Upholding the true Buddhist Dharma, free from sectarian distinctions, he imparts teachings to disciples such as Hou Yu Shan and Lin Liu Hui Xiu, guiding them to the Pure Land, meeting Amitabha Buddha, returning to the human world prepared, and attaining rebirth at the right time. His Holiness invited Amitabha Buddha to transmit teachings to Zhao Yu Sheng, and disciples like Hai Lao Monk and Lu Dong Zan have achieved remarkable results, demonstrating the effectiveness of his teachings.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has received numerous worldly honors, introducing unparalleled Yun Sculpture art to the world. Nurturing disciples who have attained liberation and genuine accomplishments in the sacred teachings of Buddhism, His Holiness has also left sacred traces globally. These achievements attract officials, celebrities, and Buddhist disciples worldwide, seeking to meet and learn from him. The  H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Culture and Art Museum houses His Holiness’s masterpieces, including the revered ‘Yun Sculpture.’ This new form of sculptural art is considered an invaluable creation that transcends replication in the human world. The museum proudly preserves the first piece of Yun Sculpture, ‘One Stone Horizontal Charm.’

To commemorate January 19th as ‘H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day,’ the  H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Culture and Art Museum organized a grand blessing and liberation event on January 14, 2024, at the Marina Del Rey waterfront in Los Angeles. The ceremony was presided over by Venerable Shi Zhengda, Vice Chairman of the World Buddhist Headquarters. Over 300 participants from various states in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, and other regions attended the event. Globally, Buddhist temples and centers joined in activities such as liberation ceremonies, disaster relief, education assistance, and aid for the impoverished to celebrate this auspicious day. The activities sought blessings, wisdom, well-being, disaster relief, national peace, and world peace amid the challenges of today’s global society.

A Holy Feat: H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Gave a Proof of True Buddha-Dharma

(Translated from a report in Chinese published in Las Vegas Chinese Newspaper on June 3, 2014)

(Reported from Los Angeles) In the spring of 2014, just before the grand opening of the H.H. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural And Art Museum, an extraordinarily sacred event unfolded in the presence of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. During His Holiness’s travels on a tour, a flock of birds appeared within approximately 100 meters of His Holiness the Buddha. In a stunning display of nature’s marvel, the birds gracefully descended onto a water surface, creating a mesmerizing group dance. This ethereal performance was accompanied by the atmospheric phenomenon of a sudden storm.

This extraordinary event took place on May 19, 2014, while H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was visiting Mexico in the company of more than 20 individuals. The clock had just passed five in the afternoon. Returning from an excursion to an ancient Maya site near the city of Merida, the Mexican tour guide guided them to the Temozon Resort Hotel, an opulent establishment converted from a manor farm.

Seated at a table near the window inside a coffee shop were H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and two distinguished virtuous ones. Through the window, about 100 meters (328 feet) away, lay a rectangular-shaped swimming pool. At this moment, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III gathered His entourage and delivered an announcement:

“Throughout this journey, you have witnessed many awe-inspiring scenes. However, today, you are about to witness a breathtaking dance unlike anything you have seen before. Shortly, a multitude of birds will grace this swimming pool to perform a ‘Dragonfly Stepping on Water’ dance. These birds will gracefully descend, shuttle above the water’s surface, tread upon it, and ascend into the sky. This dance is also known as the ‘Spiritual Birds Stepping on Water.’ Moreover, their performance will persist even after the rain commences.”

At that time, people within the entourage all looked outside the window but did not see even one bird. However, since H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had called them over and told them that a world-astounding miracle would occur soon, they were confident that it would definitely happen. Still some of them raised a doubt, “Can a bird fly up after touching the water? Wouldn’t it plunge into the water and drown?”

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III then asked them, “Do you see birds now?” The disciples replied, “No, there isn’t a bird, not even a bird’s shadow.” H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “If you suspect that they will not come, or they will plunge into the water and drown, just wait and see what happens. Anyway, I will just tell you this. If there are no birds dancing above the swimming pool, the dharma I expounded would be evil views. If they do show up, that means I am truly Dorje Chang Buddha III, representing all Buddhas in the ten directions and, on the other hand, those dharma kings, rinpoches, venerable ones, and great dharma masters who slandered me are either evil masters or swindlers. The fact will be shown when the birds come. You just wait and see. Moreover, in a sudden moment, celestial deities will cast a heavy rainstorm within one or two seconds, providing an accompanying performance to the dance. However, the birds will not be driven away or stop due to the rain. You will soon see, whether Dorje Chang Buddha III expounded true Buddha-dharma or evil dharma and whether those who engaged in slandering and defamation are demonic persons, evil masters, and swindlers or not.”

After only one minute or so, many birds did fly to the sky above the swimming pool. There were no birds at any other place. They were circling and flipping very fast above the swimming pool. Some began dashing downward. Shortly afterwards, just as H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had predicted a few minutes ago, the birds dived down from the sky and had their feet stepping on the water, and then flew upward back to the sky. The dance repeated this way over and over again.

Then, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “It is going rain heavily right away.” Everyone started to count silently, one, two, …… Exactly as told, in less than two seconds, a heavy downpour suddenly started. The bird did not stop or leave, and continued to dance within the rainstorm. Every detail of the prediction made ahead of time by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came true completely, proving that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s Buddha-dharma is the true dharma and that those who slandered His Holiness the Buddha are all demonic persons, evil masters, and swindlers.

To provide witnesses to this absolutely true holy scene, the disciples who accompanied His Holiness the Buddha on the trip and saw with their own eyes this extremely magnificent holy feat recorded in writing the situation at the time and signed their names. They also took oaths against severe consequences to guarantee what they wrote are ironclad facts. If what they wrote were an untrue fabricated story rather than their own experience, they not only would not become accomplished in this lifetime but also would devolve into the hell of uninterrupted suffering to undergo all kinds of sufferings. On the other hand, if what they stated is true, they will be certain to attain liberation and accomplishment in the current lifetime. They wished that all living beings can learn the true Buddha-dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

The whole process at that time was recorded by video. This live video recording included many world-astounding scenes one after another that proved His Holiness the Buddha’s realization of enlightenment and will be dedicated as a present to the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum. The video will be shown to the public at the museum’s grand opening ceremony and will be distributed to people of all walks.

The written testimony was signed by thirteen witnesses of the entourage who took oaths against severe consequences, including Xuan Hui, Wenli, Baima Dorje Cuomu, Hengsheng, Long Zhi, Kuan, Jiawei Dianba, Cideji, Cirong Zhuoma, Gesang Quzeng, Renqing Quezan, Dunzhu, and Tongchang. Their testimony stated:

“This event seems to be plain simple. However, after careful thinking, we can realize that:”

  • “First, this place is quite far off. Except the Mexican tour guide, none of us on the tour has been here. Neither did we know the location, the setting, or anything about this place. We did not know this place had birds either.
  • Secondly, when H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III made the announcement, we all clearly saw that there was not even one bird above the swimming pool and the higher sky above it.
  • Thirdly, birds are of course not human. They have no way to speak to us or communicate with us in other ways. We human are not able to give notice or direction to the birds either to let them tread and dance on the water surface, not to say that they were more than 100 meters (328 feet) away from us.”

“With all these facts, then how was H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III able to inform all of us two or three minutes ahead of time that many birds would fly to the sky above the swimming pool and state definitively that the birds would perform a world-astounding miraculous dance? What was even more astounding is announcing that celestial deities would produce a heavy downpour within 1-2 seconds and the birds would not be driven away by the rain and would continue to dance. Exactly as forecasted, such a world-astounding scene did take place, proving the truthfulness of the announcement made by His Holiness the Buddha. This is not an issue of prediction. Rather, it represents the ultimate truth and Buddha-dharma that is millions of times more powerful than a prediction!!!! This fact fully proved that the world of Buddhas is completely different from living beings’ world, that the truth of Buddha-dharma that the Buddha expounded to living beings is absolutely true without anything untrue, and that living beings must cultivate in accord with the Buddha’s teaching, in order to become accomplished and truly enter the world of Buddha-dharma. This is because His Holiness the Buddha is the sole highest extremely great holy virtuous one. We simply are unable to know all truths and facts that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is aware of. Therefore, we cultivate in accord with the His Holiness Buddha’s teaching. Only then can we turn the state of an ordinary being into the state of a Buddha and enter the world of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas!”

“You should not believe literally H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s description of this event. His Holiness the Buddha said that He is a humble one, He does not have the ability of telling the birds to present a dance on top of the water or telling celestial deities to rain a heavy downpour as an accompanying performance to the dance, this holy occurrence was a coincidence due to the karmic conditions of all who were present, and He does not have such a power of realization. Rather, you should realize that these statements reflected the supreme virtue of selflessness of a true Buddha. You should think carefully about this situation. Which dharma king, rinpoche, dharma master, or holy one can announce ahead of time when there is no bird seen that many birds will come to perform a dance of treading water? Moreover, within only three minutes, many birds did show up and dance on the water, making many splashes of water.”

“Maybe we can just say that this is not amazing. However, such a statement of announcing the arrival of many birds to perform a dance of treading water cannot be baselessly made by a person with the status of a Buddha when a live video recording was on and there was no bird around. How would the situation end if there weren’t many birds showing up afterwards? Moreover, the announcement said that celestial deities were to pour a heavy rain in two seconds. Two seconds after the sentence ended, a heavy downpour started immediately, manifesting an accompanying performance to the birds’ dance. This is something far more than being amazing. It is truly a holy feat made by His Holiness the Buddha. No other holy one can do so, because he does not have such supreme realization of Buddha-dharma. We know that no eminent monk, dharma king, or rinpoche in history has ever done so. In real life, we do not see any great dharma king, great rinpoche, or great dharma master making such accomplishment either! Looking at the last several thousand years, only H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has the true dharma of the Tathagata to manifest such inspiration and virtuous realization. In another instance, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III reversed an aged appearance to that of a youth after only a little over ten minutes. Can any great patriarch master, great dharma king, great rinpoche, or great dharma master make an accomplishment that bears a remote resemblance to this?”c

“Now we know that a true Buddha came to our world. Why don’t you seize this opportunity to follow the Buddha to cultivate and learn the dharma to end the cycle of birth and death? Also, it is certain that you will die soon and you will not be able to escape the death!!! That time will soon come, when your breath will stop and you will die. Your soul, which is the spiritual consciousness you have now, will not have anything that you once possessed in the human world. You will be penniless regardless of how much money you once had. At that time, there will be no food, no house, and nothing. While you are at the stage of bardo, you can see your family members but they can’t hear you talking to them. You will only have loneness, extreme suffering, hunger, and fear. There is no hotel on your way to the afterworld. You don’t know where you can stay for the night. This is not to scare you. That day will come very soon! This is an obvious fact. You are certain to experience the loneness, fear, and the coming together of all kinds of sufferings that never end. The only way to avoid this consequence is to learn the true dharma of the Tathagata right now. Only by doing so can you become accomplished and break away from the fear of death. You should look for the Buddha immediately to learn the dharma. There will be no second chance if you waste this lifetime!!! Then only loneness and suffering with no possibility of being rescued are waiting for your soul.”

Intoxicatingly Beautiful Abstract Color Paintings

Flying Toward a Buddha Paradise
Artist: H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Art Works are Fused with the Essence of the Universe, Nature, and the Earth

When you first set your eyes upon these supernatural abstract color paintings, the vibrant and radiant hues of red, yellow, blue, white, and black burst forth, dancing like the tumultuous waves of a river stretching for thousands of miles. Captured in the delicate tips of the brush, their brilliance transcends the ordinary, possessing a gentleness yet resolute quality. The diverse and exquisite colors mutually nourish and elevate each other, creating a masterpiece that can only be described as ingenious, reaching a realm where colors take on an ethereal quality. The experience is beyond description—elegant and comforting.

These impressionist paintings have attained a level of mastery where even a small fragment isolated from the complete artwork stands as an exquisite impressionist painting on its own. They convey a dreamy, illusory state, and each tiny section has the potential to be enlarged, creating a distinct and aesthetically pleasing painting.

Gazing Upon a World Beyond the Stars

This piece has a sci-fi movie special effects vibe, it doesn’t look like a scene that exists on Earth; rather, it resembles the appearance of an extraterrestrial planet observed through high-tech instruments. The entire artwork is filled with a mysterious atmosphere, offering limitless imagination and excitement.

Marvelous Spectacle of a Mystical and Illusory Island

This artwork is vibrant and three-dimensional. When appreciated from a diagonal perspective, the pattern in the upper right corner resembles a series of color-changing snakes, coiling in the air, creating a dazzling and visually delightful experience. The pattern in the lower left corner appears like slowly flowing mud, transparent and sparkling under the sunlight. The dividing line in the middle adds a fantastical element, resembling a peculiar light that seems as though it could disappear in the next second, defying verbal description.

The fantastical imagery of this artwork brings a sense of joy and, simultaneously, fills one with fantasies and aspirations for the future. It is a lively and dynamic masterpiece that exudes a peculiar power.

Long Green Wall

Magnificent and grand, that was my first impression upon seeing this artwork. Despite its modest size, this piece is brimming with the profound culture and history of China’s five thousand years. Resembling the Great Wall, this artwork is a marvel, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III from an artistic perspective.

Elegant Purity of Beautiful Stone

The highlight of this artwork lies in H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III‘s skillful combination of intricate colors, avoiding any hint of vulgarity and instead exuding a sense of pure elegance and nobility. The arrangement of patterns and textures in the artwork, seemingly casual brushstrokes, actually reflects H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III‘s ingenious conceptualization and profound artistic foundation, presenting a harmonious order within apparent chaos.

The Nobility of Petrified Red Trees

At first glance, this artwork appears to be an oil painting. Upon closer observation, it evokes astonishment. It is not merely a flat painting but more akin to a lifelike redwood fossil.

Every texture is distinctly visible, and every detail is vividly realistic. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, with the stroke of a brush, captures the original form of the redwood in the guise of a fossil, rendering this piece of art even more mysterious and noble.

This artwork employs strong color contrasts, making bright colors even more vibrant and dark colors even deeper. The enchanting purple patterns, at times intensified and at times subdued, infuse the composition with a sense of magic. It is as if a colossal dragon is about to break free from the shackles of darkness, re-emerging into a brilliant radiance.

Splash-Color Embroidery of Moutains and Rivers

This is a splash-ink painting that combines elements of oil painting style. The innovative approach and exquisite brushwork truly captivate the viewer. Looking at this piece, one can almost hear the echoes in the mountains, see the surging river waves, smell the freshness of nature, taste the sweetness of mountain springs, and feel the harmony between humans and nature.

Boundless Land as Beautiful as Colorful Embroidery

The artwork, dominated by blue tones, incorporates elements of Western and abstract painting. At first glance, it resembles a vast ocean spanning the globe. It delivers a visual impact and a spiritual resonance. Take a moment to immerse yourself in this majestic and awe-inspiring scenery.

These intoxicatingly beautiful Supernatural Abstract Color Paintings form a perfect world constructed by colors. Devoid of concrete worldly forms, it is a realm purely defined by color—shaping, expressing, and embodying itself through hues. Color is both its form and its essence, permeating with a captivating aura. These colors, guided by the hand of the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, seamlessly converge into a marvelously enchanting spectrum. The atmosphere is lively, the scenes blossom like flowers, bold and fierce as the roaring sea, yet upon closer inspection, they reveal nuanced expressions, refined in the minute details. In discussing the extraordinary skill of the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in Western painting, it’s almost an understatement to compare it to the Buddha.

You can discover a selection of the exceptionally charming paintings in the permanent exhibition at The International Art Museum of America, situated in downtown San Francisco.

I have Attained A very Special and Sacred Assembly

The Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement

In esoteric Buddhism, a multitude of Dharma categories exists. Among these, within the realm of decision by selection, “the Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement” holds a prestigious position as an advanced and profound teaching. This particular Dharma surpasses other practices such as “the Dharma of Inquiry by a Flying Lot,” “the Dharma of Selection with Mani Stone,” “the Dharma of Lot Drawing from a Golden Vase,” and “the Dharma of Card Drawing Across the Curtain.” It even stands above the esteemed “Dharma of Vajra Selection,” second in rank only to “the Dharma of Divine Forecasting.”

It’s important to note that participating in the ceremony of “the Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement” does not inherently imply a person’s high status or identity. The determination of one’s status relies on the outcomes of the selection process. The exceptional aspect of “the Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement” lies in its ability to precisely unveil an individual’s true identity with absolute certainty.

On December 12th, 2012, a remarkable opportunity graced my life as I attended a live assembly centered around this sacred teaching. The event took place within a magnificent edifice that now houses the H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha Culture and Art Museum. Illuminated against the night sky, the gathering attracted several hundred disciples. Led by an anonymous yet revered figure of great holiness and virtue, the ceremony aimed to bestow the initiation of “Selection Made in Dark Confinement from One-Hundred Dharmas to Choose the Door toward Enlightenment” upon Dharma Master Zhengda (Awang Deji Rinpoche).

The enigmatic spiritual leader entered the assembly hall donning a cone-shaped bamboo hat veiled in darkness, evoking the aura of a martial arts hero from cinematic lore. His countenance remained shrouded, a mystery to all. Swiftly, he proceeded into a petite Buddha hall, safeguarded by a group of rinpoches. The shroud of anonymity around his true identity remained impenetrable to everyone present.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the figure whom everyone awaited with the utmost anticipation, graced the hall of the dharma assembly with His presence. The profound sense of blessedness and gratitude that welled up within me was immeasurable, as I had the privilege to worship and attentively listen to the Buddha from such a close vantage point. Furthermore, every attendant could witness to the remarkable transformation of His Holiness into a youthful appearance, an occurrence that transpired in October of that very year, 2012. (For more intricate details, refer to the “Truth about Reversing An Old Age Back to Youth“).

First, dharma masters presented a manuscript containing all one hundred letters of petition to this great holy and virtuous one who would practice the dharma for this dharma assembly. The great holy and virtuous one circled three of the one hundred letters of petition using a pen with red colored ink as the predictions made ahead of time for publishing at the conclusion of the dharma assembly. When the disciple who was subject to the decision by selection drew three letters of petition, the three circled ones would be verified that they all matched the letters of petition actually selected by the disciple. These three then represented this disciple’s correct karmic conditions at that time.
The other ninety-seven letters of petition did not match karmic conditions of the disciple receiving the initiation this time and were all crossed out, indicating they were at least irrelevant if not untrue.
Additionally, a required procedure was to make a seal on the spot. This was very rigorous and was done by dharma masters in person. An un-carved stone seal was rested on both of its ends and unsupported in the middle. With a strike by a hammer, the seal was broken into two pieces. The uneven face of one of the two pieces was ground slightly with sandpaper, while still preserving enough lines and contours from the break. A seal made this way could never be duplicated, even if you attempted to do it ten thousand times. Once the seal was made, it was used at the scene to stamp the one hundred letters of petition written by hand by the disciple. Every letter of petition was stamped so no one could make any falsification.

Dharma Master Zhengda drew three letters of petition by herself in complete darkness. Later with lights on, dharma masters opened them up to verify them. As expected, they all completely matched the three that were circled by the great holy and virtuous one earlier. Then the three were rolled and squeezed again into nubs in front of the public and put together with the other ninety-seven nubs with the same appearance. After mixing them together by shaking the golden vase, they were sent to the great holy and virtuous one for selection. In less than one minute, the great holy and virtuous one selected three. Dharma masters again opened them in public. They were the same ones that Dharma Master Zhengda had drawn earlier. Moreover, they were all stamped by the seal made on the spot.
To verify that the other ninety-seven pieces did not have the same contents, dharma masters opened them all to verify. They were all stamped with the seal made on the spot. Each one was read out by the dharma masters. There wasn’t any repetition at all. All were unique and agreed with the contents in the common manuscript. This fact proved that the Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement conducted by the great holy and virtuous one was completely carried out by perfect holy realization.

These one hundred letters of petition were all written by the person undergoing the decision by selection, Dharma Master Zhengda. The most important fact was that Dharma Master Zhengda had to take an oath against severe consequences, in front of the offering table and before all people present, to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the ten directions, the eight types of celestial beings, and deities in all heavens.

Her oath swore that these one hundred letters of petition were written by her and kept by her; all letters of petition were never touched by the great holy and virtuous one; the drawing of the three letters of petition was done by her in complete darkness without any visibility and were arbitrarily picked; and there was not any falsification from the beginning to the end. If what she said were false, she would definitely descend into the Vajra Hell to suffer forever without any chance of being saved.
This dharma assembly determined for certain Dharma Master Zhengda’s karmic conditions.

The numbers and contents of the three letters of petition selected were respectively:
No. 4: H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the holiest. I am a trusted aide of the Tara. A cultivator building temples has great merit. You will be brought to see the Buddha and become a holy one.

No. 13: Transcribing and copying the recorded dharma lessons was a foolish violation. Making errors in sentences to cause the loss of true meanings made me a person of guilt. I must repent earnestly and correct completely. Otherwise the outcome would be being detained in the mundane world.

No. 69: The dharmas of Lamdre have many levels. The Dharma of Mud-Pill Lamdre is the highest. Having passed the exam proctored by seven monastic masters and ten witnesses, my status is at the summit of esoteric Buddhism.

The selections made by the Dharma of Selection in Dark Confinement concluded that Dharma Master Zhengda was a reincarnated holy one and a trusted aide of the Tara. Her status of the dharma was extremely high, at the upper level representing the summit of esoteric Buddhism.
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III conducted “the Dharma of Divine Forecast-ing’ using a golden vase for an anonymous great holy and virtuous one who did not reveal his identify. The forecast was repeated three times without discrepancy, proving its correctness. “The Dharma of Divine Forecasting” showed that this great holy and virtuous one possessed master’s qualifications at the middle level of holy realization with Three Sun-Moon Wheels. That represented a truly rare great holy and virtuous one. Even Dharma King Gar Tongstan who is the chairperson of the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Kaichu Rinpoche, and Holy and Virtuous One La Zhen possessed just master’s qualifications represented by One Sun-Moon Wheel. Even Mozhi Rinpoche’s realization was only at the level of Two Sun-Moon Wheels. He surpassed the status of Mozhi Ripoche and truly deserved the title of great holy and virtuous one. To achieve the status of “Great Holy and Virtuous One,” one must possess master’s qualifications at the middle level of holy realization with Sun-Moon Wheels.
The United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters issued a document for receiving the certificate of Three Sun-Moon Wheels to the great holy and virtuous one on the spot. After the dharma assembly had ended, people were all very excited and thought that they would have the opportunity of paying respect to the great holv and virtuous one in person and knowing who He actually was.
However, the great holy and virtuous one did not leave his name and did not meet with people. He left quietly without accepting the document. People were very disappointed. So far no one knows who He really was. People only learned that this was a selfless great holy and virtuous one possessing master’s qualifications with Three Sun-Moon Wheels. The demeanor of a true Mahasattva and a true great holy and virtuous one was definitely not what those who chased fame and gain, those who faked being holy ones by boasting and self-promotion, and those dharma kings, venerable ones, and great dharma kings who used false initiations to cheat believers for money and property could even slightly resemble.
Master’s qualifications with Sun-Moon Wheels are very amazing and indicate the levels of realization and status of master’s qualifications.

A Pillar Holding Up Heaven – Yun Sculpture

A Pillar Holding Up Heaven – Yun Sculpture

Recently I have visited H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Culture and Art Museum. It was very impressive, every composition there is world class. Especially the Yun sculptures, the colors of Yun sculptures are gorgeous, presenting a dreamlike and illusory scene not found in this world. Yun sculptures convey a sense of multidimensionality and are carved in extremely fine and complex detail, truly manifesting endless forms of variation. From the introduction, I learned that Yun Sculpture is a new form of art that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III created for humanity. It has never appeared before in history. Since the advent of Yun sculptures, artwork that can never be duplicated has appeared for the first time in the human world.

There is one called “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven “. About three meters tall, it truly is a holy and inconceivably wondrous treasure. The artwork is crystal-like bright with extremely fine details. Its beauty is more than eyes could capture. With the glass-like transparency, it is unbelievably touching and striking to see and the countless forms and variations within the structure are indescribable by words. The Yun sculpture is made from carving an acrylic material and then applying colors.

The story behind this Yun sculpture is even more astonishing. There is an account documented by a Buddhist disciple Qi, Pengzhi who personally witnessed the true event.

A Pillar Holding Up Heaven

“What I am about to say is about the Yun sculpture “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” created by Master Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III ), my Buddha Dharma King Master. One year and nine months ago, this holy work of art was completed and its shape finalized. At August 18, 2004, several of us decided to place the artwork “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” into a display cabinet. First, the bottom edge of the artwork had to be closely traced on a baseboard. This was done to make sure that the sculpture would be centered. I personally traced a black line very carefully around the artwork. At that point, we all figured out that the size of the display cabinet which had previously been calculated and built was too small and the upper portion of the artwork would go beyond the baseboard. Because the body of the artwork was too large, it was impossible to fit in the display cabinet. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III  strictly criticized us, “Why didn’t you measure it right in the beginning? Will this display cabinet, worth thousands of dollars, now be discarded?” The Master faced “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” and casually said to himself, “It would be nice if you could become smaller!” After the Master finished saying that, six of us lifted “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” and placed it down on the floor. Because it was such a precious piece and worth so much, we all guarded the spot.

Approximately five hours passed. We then lifted it to the baseboard preparing to take a picture. Just as “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” was moved up to the baseboard where I had previously traced the black line, a fellow disciple suddenly yelled, “Hey, it has become the magic stick of Sun Wu Kong (the Monkey King)!” Everyone looked. To our surprise, “A Pillar Holding Up Heaven” had actually shrunk. With only H.H. Buddha Dharma King’s words “Let it be smaller…”, it actually shrunk and now fit perfectly into the display cabinet. At this moment, I traced a red line around the bottom edge of the artwork once again on the same baseboard that showed the previously traced black line. When comparing the two lines, the widest part of the artwork had actually shrunk and the line was now more than two inches smaller than the previous line. The entire upper portion of the artwork shrank and fit perfectly into the area of the display cabinet. This inanimate piece of artwork which had already finalized its shape was truly magnificent and unbelievably amazing. “

“I am a Buddhist disciple. I would not fabricate false testimony which would violate the law of cause and effect. These two lines were traced by me that day based on the bottom edge of the actual artwork that day. Moreover, the artwork indeed shrank because of the Master’s words. If any of the above is falsely fabricated, I shall be punished, enter the three evil paths and become an animal. If this account of said facts is authentic, I will greatly gain good fortune and wisdom and dedicate the merit to the well-being of everyone.

Now, I have some honest words that come from my heart that I would like to give everyone. Everyone should think about just what level this great and authentic Buddha-dharma actually is on so that such power can be demonstrated. Shouldn’t we take this opportunity to take refuge and learn the authentic Buddha-dharma? “

Splendor in the Golden Palace

Technological Art By H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III‘s outstanding achievements in artistry, are not just paintings and Yun sculptures, he also uses science and technology to design a new form of three-dimensional art. These three-dimensional images are made from machines and instruments, scientific data, light sources, temperature modulations, speed, and three-dimensional technology. When viewing the three-dimensional artistic images of H.H.  Dorje Chang Buddha III, one can look very deeply into the flat surface and see things that appear very far away. There are also times when the images appear to be protruding out of the confines of the frame, like real three-dimensional hand-molded sculptures.

A second example of technological art is glass paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. These transparent images look like something found in a heavenly palace. They are even more spellbinding under the skillful use of lighting.

A third example of technological art is photographs by H.H.  Dorje Chang Buddha III, which include scenery, people, animals, etc. These beautiful, artistic pictures taken with a camera make use of lighting, natural colors, and the skillful arrangement of objects.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III  Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata combined His works in the above-described three different fields into the single category of technological art.

Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s Paintings and Achievements

Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s Paintings and Achievements

Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is a world-renowned painter. Throughout Asia, she is the only artist to whom the New York Academy of Art conferred the title of international preeminent artist of first class standing.

The art world has classified the quality of ink painting into four different levels: Class of Proficiency, Class of Wonderment, Class of Divinity, and Class of Ease. Artwork of the Class of Proficiency has the ability to present a resemblance of objective reality, achieving likeness in form. This is the first stage of artistic creation. The art world calls it the stage of sketching. This is a stage that an artist cannot skip, yet they also cannot remain at this status quo, because this is an elementary stage. The next level is the Class of Wonderment. Artworks of this Class demonstrates highly skilled techniques. The artist is able to paint anything at will without revealing any trace of effort. However, one also cannot remain stagnant at this stage.

The next level after the Class of Wonderment is the Class of Divinity where the art carries likeness of ‘form’ and likeness of ‘spirit.’ In ink painting, the highest state of accomplishment is the Class of Ease where the artist attains natural ease by using simple brushstrokes to fully capture the form. With the most succinct brushwork and the most superb technique, the artist depicts objective reality and attains a state of miraculousness where both form and spirit are fully captured. This is the kind of art that viewers never get tired of appreciating; it leaves a wonderful aftertaste. There are only about a dozen people in the history of art who have attained such a class.

In 2008, the United States Congress exhibited her sculptures and paintings in the Gold Room in the Rayburn Congressional Building which received rave reviews. Professor Stephen Farthing of the University of the Arts in London, United Kingdom, determined that “Professor Wang’s paintings reach across cultures to celebrate the space that exists intellectually and emotionally between representation and abstraction, between a fact and an idea…Dr. Wang’s paintings may draw heavily on the traditions of Eastern art, but they present themselves as extraordinarily Western ideas and images.”

in 2013, out of the works of all painters, the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations (WFUCA) awarded the title “WFUCA2013” to the artworks of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang. In 2020, the United States National Commission for UNESCO Clubs, Centers, and Associations conferred on her the “International First-Class Artist” title along with the issuance of a certificate and badge.

In 2019, When Professor Wang’s solo exhibition was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center that used to be the Sino-Soviet Friendship Building, a record-breaking number of people visited the show. The Museum Director Wu Shufang stated that the museum had never experienced such an overwhelming number of visitors since its official opening, and for this exhibition, they had to post notices to limit admission. Same year, she held a solo exhibition, titled One Flower, Two Worlds at the Louvre in Paris in 2019 and created a sensation in French art circles. This exhibition showcases 27 of Professor Wang’s extraordinary artworks each of which has reached the height of the Class of Ease.

More than 200 distinguished members of society, artists, collectors, entrepreneurs, and art lovers attended the exhibition opening; including representatives from French museums, professors from French art institutes, French nobilities, renowned artists, celebrities, representatives from auction houses, art critics and journalists from major news media. They all marveled at the artworks and expressed their praises. They considered this an unprecedented experience for French people.

Simply put, the artistry of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang has attained the highest level of artistry in ink painting which is the Class of Ease. One of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s paintings Pomegranates in a Basket realized a top auction price of US$1.27 million at the Gianguan Auction House in New York on March 13 of 2019. It clearly shows that the art of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is recognized by art collectors and people of foresight alike.

Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is the Lifetime Honorary Chairwoman of the International Art Museum of America. The museum has a dedicated gallery exhibiting her artworks. Her paintings encompass a broad range of styles and subject matters, including landscapes, animals, flowers, birds, and so forth, all of which have reached the summit of world class artistic excellence. Based on her lotus and water lily paintings, artists have acclaimed that Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is the foremost lotus painter of all times. No artist in the past would have been able to surpass her accomplishment, and her works will continue to inspire generations to come. Among all notable lotus painters, her skills are extremely profound, substantial, and masterful, and she is among the most distinguished artists in history. Her artistic achievement has reached perfection at the summit of the “ten ultimate artistries.”

The well-known saying, “Deeply hidden talent not easily revealed” aptly describes Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s morality and inner refinement. The characteristics of an artist’s paintings essentially reflect the character of the painter. From the paintings below you can find humility, inner peace, harmony and noble morality of professor Wang.

Golden Lotuses

The approach of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang to draw flowers in gold and create leaves with splashed watery ink exhibits high elegance, great beauty, and lovely simplicity. The technique of Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang to paint lotus flowers in varying degrees of darkness and lightness enables her to represent fully a striking charm in both tone and form. Every stroke is lively, vigorous, graceful, and without the slightest air of affectation. Applying mature and seasoned artistry, she fully displays on paper her unfettered, natural, unattached state of mind. The brushwork was completed with ease and spontaneity, free of any inhibition. The atmosphere is strong but very elegant and pure. This entire painting provides much comfort to the eyes.

Extremely beautiful and glittering jewel-like floor tiles covered all the hall ways and open areas at the first floor of the The International Art Museum of America (IAMA). H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the artist, wielded his brush and applied colors to create those gorgeous and resplendent as gemstones and with rustic, charming tiles. So ordinary people could replace common tiles, marble, and granite slabs in the old style, and enjoy the splendor of earthly mansions and the beauty of heavenly palaces.

Tiles displayed in the Collection of The International Art Museum of America (IAMA)

When you see these four tiles with gemstone patterns, it seems there is nothing more to say other than they give you a feeling of beauty and naturalness. However, as soon as you realize they are actually four paintings, you will marvel at them in a state of perplexity. All of them are indeed paintings in patterns of jade. They are representative of works that belong to the “Chaoshi” (super fine) style of painting. Starting clockwise from the top left, they are Dragon-Scale Jade, Autumn Aqueous, Fortune Vase Jade, and Yellow Loveliness Jade. Their patterns, watery tone, luster, and moist appearance are completely the same as those of natural jade objects. Such accomplishment clearly shows the calligraphic and painting mastery of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in the style of “Chaoshi.”

In The H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum, has more many different color-painted tiles on display. They all completely resemble natural stones in terms of color, luster, grain, and aesthetic impression. These tiles can be classified into six main categories: the Rustic Elegance Collection, the Lyrical Charm Collection, the Luxurious Gem Collection, the Serene Nobility Collection, the Contemporary Distinction Collection, and the Heavenly Stone Collection.

In many world-class building and decoration material exhibitions held in the United States, China, and elsewhere, the tiles created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III have each time attracted the greatest stream of people. They have been appraised as being the best tiles in the world. Those who view them, including experts in the same trade, marvel at and highly praise the beauty before their eyes, smiling as they bask in the pleasure of the moment. The tiles created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are judged by everyone to be the highest-class, most beautiful, and most elegant decorative material in the world today.

Sculptures Containing Mysterious Mist by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Sculptures Containing Mysterious Mist by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Photo from http://artbybuddha.org/Yun_Sculptures

Yun Sculpture is a new form of art that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III created for humanity. It has never appeared before in history. Since the advent of Yun sculptures, artwork that can never be duplicated has appeared for the first time in the human world.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III created these miraculous sculptures containing mysterious mist in order to make people around the world understand the magnificence of the True Buddha-dharma. These miraculous works can be seen and touched. However, they cannot be created by anyone who is not a being of the highest holiness.

The mysterious mist in these sculptures can be found floating among wondrously carved, seemingly changing, and intriguingly interconnected hanging rock formations. Why is such art called sculptures containing mysterious mist? It is because in those sculptures there is the mysterious and beautiful scene of auspicious mist swirling in between hanging rock formations. This is a manifestation of the realization of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in the craftsmanship vidya and the inner realization vidya.

In the treasure room of International Art Museum of America, there is a sculpture entitled “Mysterious Boulder With Mist.” After carving the material into the form of an oval boulder, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III created two grottoes inside the boulder, each of which contains its own scenery. When you look inside the right grotto, you will see thick mist enveloping everything. The structure of the carved scenery inside this hole is vague, since it cannot be clearly seen through the mist. You are left with the impression that the mist is a few dozen yards deep inside the hole when it is actually only three or four feet deep. When you look inside the left grotto, you will see that there is no mist at all. You will clearly see the structure of the carved scenery inside this hole. The material used to carve those two grottoes was the same, the colors applied to both of them were the same, and their depth is the same. The carving skills and inner-realization of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III caused this mysterious phenomenon of one side containing thick, enveloping mist and the other side containing no mist at all.

Mysterious Boulder with Mist

It is no wonder that people praise these sculptures containing mysterious mist as the only form of art in human history that contains natural mist. People also praise them as unique and precious masterpieces that cannot be found in nature. These works of art are one type of sculpture created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

Many people have been astonished by the breathtaking beauty of Yun sculpture artwork created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. They spoke heartfelt words, such as, “This is a treasure sent to the human world from God,” “This is a holy object from a Buddha-land brought here by a Buddha,” “Its beauty captures people’s souls,” and “Since the appearance of Yun sculptures, earthly jewels are like stars surrounding a bright Moon, losing all their color and splendor.” This is indeed true. Some people brought the most exquisite jade and jewelry as well as splendid stone sculptures for comparison. All of those objects immediately lost their beauty and luster when compared with Yun sculptures. There is a world of difference between those objects and Yun sculptures. None of those objects can be regarded as being in the same category as Yun sculptures.

Claude Monet and Yuhua Shouzhi Wang: An Exhibition of Water Lily Paintings in Dialogue

Claude Monet and Yuhua Shouzhi Wang: An Exhibition of Water Lily Paintings in Dialogue

An Exhibition of “Water Lily Paintings in Dialogue” was held between August 14th – August 19th 2021 at H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural And Art Museum, in West Covina CA.

The exhibition was a dialogue between the water lily paintings of Claude Monet and Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang. Monet is the founder of “impressionism.” Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is the founder of “imagery-naturalism.” Both artists are the most distinguished virtuosos among International First-Class Artists. This Exhibition of Paintings in Dialogue features 16 oil color water lily paintings from each artist. At the same time, 16 lotus ink paintings created by Yuhua Shouzhi Wang are also on view. The Monet paintings are high-definition reproductions from his water lily paintings.

Master Claude Monet is the founder of the “impressionism” painting style known throughout the world. He was an International First-Class Artist with landmark accomplishment. His Water Lily Paintings are renowned throughout the world. His color is dynamic. With brushstrokes that capture changing light and shadow over the lily pond, Monet portrays foggy morning sceneries of all seasons. Monet is adept at presenting the changes in light and shadow, placing special emphasis on their haziness in the atmosphere. With oil color and technical mastery, he infuses the landscape with the floating light, moving shadow, and atmosphere to present the beauty and colors of water lilies in many layers of depth.

In his late years, he immersed his entire mind and being into his pond of water lilies in Giverny. From then on, his subject matter never deviated from the water lilies. He lived and breathed water lilies. He was a world-renowned master in water lily painting. Monet’s colors are fresh, graceful, sophisticated, seasoned, and brilliant. With sweeping and carefree brushwork, he applies color at will. He places emphasis on haziness, and his use of bright colors are not at all garish. Monet’s paintings are devoid of artisanal dullness, both his technique and form are natural and audacious, achieving the oneness of form and spirit. He is a world master of water lily painting, and fittingly an International First-Class Virtuoso. His artistry has achieved the Class of Divinity and the Class of Ease.

Master Yuhua Shouzhi Wang is the founder of the “imagery-naturalism” style in painting. She has attained the landmark achievement of being the only Asian top-level world virtuoso today who has been accorded the International First-Class Artist title. Her paintings are characterized by noble style, magnificent artistry, masterful technique, magnificent composition, richness of layer and depth, and audacious, beautiful impasto color. The misty atmospheres within them exude another-worldly elegance. She is a very versatile painter. Her paintings encompass landscape, flower-bird composition, animal, flower, fish-shrimp composition, and figure, as well as super realistic art and surrealistic abstraction. Stemming from a foundation of oil color painting, she shatters the normative form of everyday objects, capturing the naturally evolving nature of the imageries that come from everyday life yet transcend everyday life. She has founded the unique “imagery-naturalism” painting style and established a landmark artistic achievement. She has attained the “ten ultimate artistries” in her infinitely evolving style, and her accomplishments are unprecedented.

In 2008, the artworks of Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang were exhibited in the Gold Room at the United States Capitol. The United States Congress recognized her as “a great artist and sculptor” for her outstanding accomplishments, and officially chronicled such recognition in the Congressional Record. The same record also mentioned that Dr. Wang “takes great pleasure in helping others, is a selfless person whose moral character is noble, and has made great contributions to the development of cultural exchange between the East and the West.”

Out of many artists’ works, the World Federation of UNESCO (WFUCA) accorded Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s artworks the “WFUCA2013” title. The New York Academy of Art, upon assessing and determining Professor Wang’s level of artistry, conferred to her the “International First-Class Artist” title. An “International First-Class Artist” title certificate was also issued by the U.S. National Commission for WFUCA to Professor Wang on December 20, 2020, in which they recognized the professor’s accomplishment as among the top of International First Class Artists.

There is a permanent exhibition of Dr. Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s paintings in International Art Museum of America at San Francisco downtown.
